The Great Gatsby

I went to the 10pm showing of Gatsby last night and the movie blew my mind. I loved the juxtaposition of using modern music during a film set in the twenties, and I especially loved how many times and how many different variations of Young & Beautiful they played. What stood out to me the most, unsurprisingly, were the clothes. Although not totally historically accurate, the costumers and stylists working on this movie did an incredible job capturing the important elements of 1920's fashion, but giving it a sexier, more progressive feel which I appreciated. I also liked the nullification of coattails on the wealthier men and the use of more sophisticated suits, not to mention Nick and Gatsby wore some pretty stylish sweaters. But Daisy Buchanan looked so fabulous the entire movie, she gets my vote for best dressed. And here's what I wore!

Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Denim Jacket: Topman
Shirt: H&M
Jeans: H&M
Boots: Doc Martens
